Up and At 'Em

I rarely need my alarm clock. I always set it, but I wake up before sounds, turn it off, and go about my day.

That said, I woke up one morning recently to go the bathroom. Then I brushed my teeth, washed my face, plugge in my curlers, etc. and began my morning routine in preparation for my day. However, this particular day I was feeling more tired than usual. I wondered to myself if I could slip between the sheets for just another 20 minutes or so. I glanced at the clock to see it was only 12:36 a.m. I'd only been asleep for an hour and a half. Not only could I sleep for twenty more minutes, but I could sleep for another six hours! Pure bliss!

I'm glad I realized before I rolled into the office at 1 a.m., only to see the security guard.

That's pretty great! Much better than when you wake up Friday morning thinking it's Saturday...then you realize it's not and have to get your but out of bed and go to work. Kind of like today. :(

This happened to me also. BUT it was because my husband, the dear person that he is, changed the time on my clock because he thought it was going to be funny for me to get up and look at his clock to see that it was earlier than I should be up and my clock was wrong. Didn't happen that way because I didn't do that until I was about 30 minutes later and the funny thing...I got back in bed, slugged him in his belly and he giggled and went back to sleep. Those are the times to really love em!

Ha ha! Once in high school I got up as usual, got into the shower, and my dad was waiting out in the hall when I came out of the bathroom. He was like "WTH?" (in dad language, of course)--it was about 1:30 in the morning.

LOL! My DH has done this before...not me. The first thing I do after opening my eyes is look at the clock. THEN I pee.
Great story!

I check the clock every time I open my eyes - as I am NOT a morning person at all and want to see how long I have before needing to get out of bed :) So I don't think I've ever had this same problem...

...did you know that your post is dated Sunday August 10th, 2008?? Either you're way ahead of me - or I slept through my alarm again!! A couple times!! :)
