It's Like A Train Wreck

My name is Mrs. M, and I watch ridiculous MTV reality shows. It's true. I do. That's not all I watch. I enjoy a whole gaggle of ridiculous reality shows.*

Sunday afternoon I sat on the sofa to eat lunch (ok cookies) as I waited for J to return from Home Depot (not sure how this happened as I'm usually conned into going). I was flipping through the channels and I paused on "Tori and Dean: Inn Love." I couldn't help it! It was the one where she has her estate sale. I'd read about it, I wanted to see it. By the way, has she had that kid yet? I haven't made it to People in a while. She was a cute little pregnant thing. Anyway, I saw the new episode would be Tuesday night at 10:30. Hmmph! There is no way I'd watch that. It's past my bedtime (yes, my bedtime resembles that of a third grader.)

Then, last night, I was getting ready for bed and it was like a light bulb went off. Ding! Tori and Dean: Inn Love at 10:30. I couldn't shake it, it wouldn't let go of me. I snuggled in bed and waited up. Yes, I waited up to watch Inn Love. Ridiculous? Yes, I know! I was dozing toward the end of it. But I find myself wanting to watch this show. It's like a train wreck, I know it's silly to look, but I just can't help it!

I've also found myself addicted to Monday night MTV this past winter. I'm just going to throw it all out there, fast and quick, like a band-aid.

(Deep Breath) Atnineo'clockIwatchMySuperSweetSixteen. (Deep Breath) Atnine-thirtyIwatchEngagedandUnderage. (Deep Breath) Atteno'clockIwatchTheHills. (Can I please look like Whitney, please?)

There! I said it. Please don't point and giggle at my already fragile self esteem.

And ok, while we're on confessions I totally loved watching Tiara Girls when it was on MTV. And, shamefully I (still!) watch the Gilmore Girls because I have since I was like 16 and I'm well aware that the show isn't really good anymore.

Hey, stop looking at me like that! It's not like you've never watched ridiculous things. Oh really? Then go ahead, 'fess up! What TV do you watch?

*Really, I don't watch much TV, but when I do, it's ridiculous!

OH MY GOSH! We watch the same shows. My favorite show is Gilmore Girls... and yes your right, the earlier shows were better than the current shows. As for The Hills... wow, I thought I was the only one who watched this one. I love Lauren (LC), and yes Whitney is a doll. I also love to watch Laguna Beach on MTV when it comes on.... but I think season 2 has been my favorite so far. Other than that the other main show I watch is Young and The Restless (yes a soap opera), I admit it, I am addicted. Its a challenge to keep up with who's sleeping with who each week. Don't worry, I didn't laugh at you, as long as you don't laugh at me for what I watch!

I think maybe you are right. Maybe we do have the same brain? I love The Hills and all of those shows on MTV, although I'm not fond of Maui Fever. I LOVED Run's House, Newlyweds and the one with Travis Barker! And, i'm not ashamed to admit that I still watch Gilmore Girls too - every night at the gym since I can't do enough wifely favors to get Jay to watch it with me!! You have wonderful TV taste my friend!

Hehehe, sadly, I like you STILL watch Gilmore Girls even though it's gone way down hill. I also (stupidly, I know) am watching Tori and Dean: Inn Love. I am a sucker for those reality newlywed shows. I seriously had a hard time when Jessican Simpson and Nick Lachey got divorced - I own all the seasons of The Newlyweds on DVD. I like the Engaged and Underage show, too! Wow, I guess I am equally as bad and ashamed in the tv watching department as you! I watch some of the other standards too, though, so maybe they are my saving grace - Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, 24, Prison Break. But then there's MTV's Bam's Unholy Union. And I love any of those shows Robin Leach does - like "how to live like a kagillionaire" stuff. I think it's called "The Fabulous Life of...." and they do a different celebrity every time. I also love The Dog Whisperer, but I think that's a little less shameful. And to answer your question, YES, Tori DID give birth already, his name's Liam Aaron, and he was born on March 14th.....

I'm not a big reality tv person, but I must say, I LOVE Inn Love. I also, kinda, sometimes watch Sweet 16, but I always get pissed off when they get a sweet car, and I'm still driving a POS! heh
