Family Shopping Day

Saturday was the Rev's Family Shopping Day. We start off with breakfast at 8 am, all thirteen (and one on the way) of us at the Cracker Barrel. Mom and Dad Rev, 5 daughters, 3 spouses, 3 grandchildren, bun in the oven, and I'm pretty sure there was a partridge in a pear tree. The day begins with loud and proud with breakfast followed by one hearty gang entrance to the mall, and hardcore shopping until lunch time. Since J and I rarely go to the mall without purpose, it was rather nice. I actually shopped around and browsed through stores that I don't often think to look in. The best part of all, of course, was being with the Rev's. We all reconvene for lunch to recharge our batteries and then venture out once again. And, Dad Rev pays for all the meals...score! J and I had such a great time, and were certainly tired by the time we got home. We woke up earlier for shopping day than we do any other day of the week, especially for him. However, it's nice to be tired for spending such a great day with family.
