Old Fashioned Letter Writing

I love to write letters. I like email ok too, but there is something to be said for sitting down and writing a little note to someone. I just love to do it. I create reasons to send people I love and care about letters and notes. I often send notes to my friends especially if I have a fun picture I want to pass along. I also try to write all of my grandparents little notes regularly as well as my little brother.

I love getting pretty little monogrammed and personalized stationary. I have several designs for myself, some of which I made (I made it, go figure.) I also have a set for my husband and a set with our married name on it. I mostly use these thank you notes or for formal gifts as enclosures. Of course gift enclosures are a whole other story with me. I'm obsessed with those as well.

Do you write letters regularly or do you hate?

I'm not much of a letter writer, but I will send a thank you note for EVERYTHING! I think I would probably send more letters or notes if I had cute stationary, but all I have are thank you cards!

I'm not a big letter writer:( I should be though. I do wrtie thank you notes for stuff, but other than that, it's e-mail:( So unpersonal.

I used to write letters all the time. I still write letters to my Grandma, but everyone else I usually correspond with online through email or blogs. My childhood was spent as a military brat, so writing letters became the norm for me until the internet popped onto the scene. I should still write actual letters...everyone loves to get them and they are so much better than a mailbox stuffed with bills or sale ads! Much more personal as well.
What does your homemade stationary/cards look like? I love to scrapbook and make cards, stamping the whole bit...I'm always interested in paper crafts that others make!

I love to send handwritten notes and love receiving them too!

I don't write letters much, but I do like the concept, and I love getting them. Email is just so much faster and more convenient though. But I do think it's neat, and I like stationary. Ok, what are "gift enclosures"? I guess I am far from Miss Manners...

I like sending letters. I wrote to my grandparents All The Time before they died. None of my friends like to write letters--emails, yes, but not letters. I keep buying stationery, though. I love the Simply Shabby Chic stuff.
